Behind the camera
An old soul at heart, and I'm more than happy to own that. You'll usually find me knitting or crocheting, with a good book in hand, or happily chipping away at a puzzle.
But before I became a premature Nanna I spent the first 10 years out of school in the agriculture industry. Agriculture and Au pairing work allowed me travel extensively throughout Europe, Africa and Australia giving me a whole new appreciation for how special home really is. I love getting to share New Zealand’s beauty with the people who trust me to photograph a snippet of their time here.
My pivot towards photography came after I wanted to feel more settled in New Zealand. I knew agriculture wasn’t sustainable for me and decided to work through some marketing papers at which point I was now in touch with other creatives doing pretty cool things. I was also broke so to make some cash I took photos of friends for a mere $50. What I hadn’t expected was to be nervous (I don’t get nervous) and absolutely buzzing after a session. To me this said I cared, I was my best self in this environment and I want to feel like this everyday. It all made sense when at the ripe age of 29 I was told I have ADHD. My brain has always been a little spicy, but now I know why! Today I know how to use my spicy brain as one of my biggest strengths. It fuels my creativity, my curiosity, and my ability to connect with the people who cross my path.
I'm Natalia, and I'm here to create a photography experiences that feels like you. Relaxed, art fulled and most importantly, fun.
